First Day Checklist

Welcome to Almost Home Daycare!

Thank you for choosing Almost Home Daycare. I look forward to caring for your child/children.

Upon choosing care for your child, you should receive a Welcome email from me. In that email are enrollment forms, a contract and a first day checklist. The signed contract and your deposit should be delivered promptly to retain your spot. It must be received within 48 hours of confirming your child's spot. I will re open the spot to next in line if I do not receive these within the 48 hours.   No exceptions as infant spots are very rare and are usually filled very quickly.

PLEASE THOROUGHLY READ THE HANDBOOK BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT. If you sign and submit your contract I am assuming you have read the handbook.

** Please note that I expect you to keep a consistent schedule according to the times you sign on your contract.  If you don't think you are able to follow the hours you choose consistently, Almost Home Daycare is not the right fit for your family.

Please ensure the following is completed and delivered by first day of daycare:

  •  Enrollment forms
  • A copy of your child's Birth Certificate
  • 2 weeks fees deposit and your signed contract with your preferred hours and preferred payment schedule (Due within 48 hours of enrollment in the form of cash or check (made payable to Siobhan Richards) or Venmo.   The contract should be hand delivered if you are paying via cash/check or emailed in if you choose to pay your deposit via Venmo.
  • Set up your payment account 2 weeks prior to your start date.  You will be invoiced via an auto payment system each week.   Look for emails from Parachute to set up your account.  Let me know if you would prefer weekly or biweekly invoicing by indicating this on your contract.
  • A copy of your child's health and immunization records is submitted. The most recent copy should be sent as soon as it is updated with additional vaccinations.  Vaccinations are required per my personal rights and preferences for my home and family.  No exceptions.  The health records should state your child has been tested or is exempt from TB and Lead testing.
  • A copy of your child's health insurance card. Both sides copied.
  • Your child's necessary supplies all clearly labeled. (See supplies page if you are unsure)
  • Monthly supplies if the beginning of the month. These items need not be labeled as they are shared
  • Please THOROUGHLY read the daycare handbook to avoid any misunderstandings. If at anytime something is not clear, please ask. The handbook is readily available on the website at anytime.

I will not and cannot accept your child/children into my care if any of the above is missing.

You are encouraged to visit the website weekly and read the NEWS PAGE to check for important updates. A password will be provided for viewing the NEWS page as this page is for current Parents only.  Communication is vital for a smooth running business relationship.   It is your responsibility to check for closures, vacations etc and mark your calendar ahead of time.    Again, I expect a consistent schedule please and constant inconsistencies are not tolerated.  This is grounds for termination of care without notice.   Please make sure you are willing to stick to the hours you sign on your contract.   If this is something you foresee as a problem, Almost Home Daycare is not the right fit for your family.

Thanks again for choosing Almost Home Daycare.
