Parents are a child's first teacher; therefore I honor your role as a parent and as the first and most important teacher in your child's life. I support your role by offering educational opportunities that help each child to reach important developmental milestones. Through nuturing and individualized attention, I take great care to provide a safe, secure learning environment for your child. I feel good communication between parent and provider is a vital and an important part of a quality daycare.
Teaching Philosophy
Children learn best by "doing". Therefore, activities planned for the children are hands on, encourage participation and most of all, Fun!
Children learn through play. Children in my care receive lots of both free play and structured play activities throughout the day.
Each Child is given the opportunity to learn at their own pace in a setting that is challenging, enjoyable and instills a lifelong love of learning.
My Goal
My goal is to make learning fun and non-intimidating, by encouraging laughter and provoking smiles ensuring that each child feels safe, loved and happy. I offer developmentally appropriate activities to help the whole child grow and develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
We do not follow any strict academic parameters. All children are met at their own level and are given opportunities to learn at their own pace. We offer activities that encourage learning in play. Children spend a great deal of time learning from their experiences and their peers. We are not doing worksheets. We are doing creative play based learning.

We also start encouraging self help skills at an early age and help foster independence. Kids can do so much more than we give them credit for. We introduce new skills with modeling and skill reinforcement.
